$1 skate night

I really wanted this summer to be fun for the boys.
So we have been finding all kinds of fun cheap and/or free things to do. Wednesday nights our local rink has $1.00 skate night.
Now I only even took the boys the first time cause it was a b-day party,
I never thought either of them would be into it.
Well, Bruno can't stand it, he is that kid who if he can't do something perfectly
-he just wont do it.
Drew on the other hand,Oh my!!!!!
I am sooo impressed! He is totally into it!
The first night he spent 80% of his time on the ground.
But now(we have been 3x's) He is awesome!
He dances along with all the hip hop jams,tongue out and all!

It brings back so many pre-teen memories.
Yes, I was a speed skating champion-I won a free cherro every race!
I think I spent every Friday night roller skating from 3rd to 8th grade.
Then I was so cool, I moved on up to ice skating.
(after 9th grade I realized how uncool I really was)

I can see the same "I am the coolest thing ever"
look on Drew's face that I remember feeling at his age.
Although I just thought I was cool,
Drew on the other hand rocking his mohawk and
being the same size as a 13 yr old boy-
Well,
He is the coolest thing ever

A little reward

Well ladies and gentlemen, I am now only 17 lbs away from my goal weight!! When I get there I will post my old stats and the current.The light is there at the end of my fat tunnel!! I have lost 57 lbs since Sept 8th.(took a few months off over the holidays) I now wear a smaller size jeans then I did in the 8th grade!! It's so weird to go shopping and not have to go into Lane Bryant or the "fat girl' section for my clothes. Clothes I never even noticed before are now screaming my name from the racks.
So as a reward to myself I sent Bobby out for mushroom pizza and a cookies and cream Chic Fil A Milkshake. Sooo yummy! Food is so my drug of choice(thank God it's not crack-but at least I would be skinny hahaha)Guess who will be running an xtra 30 min each day this week???

Avery FINALLY got another tooth!!!!
She has had just 2 teeth for the last 6 months!!
We have gotten so used to seeing her with just the bottom 2 teeth,
it's weird to see her with one on top.
Not to mention,she now looks like Sloth!

The Mohawk gang

Honestly,how could I resist?
Avery wants to do everything that her big brothers do
so it was only a matter of time!
Yesterday while I was doing the boys hair,
I had a little extra hair "glue" on my hands...
Well, just so happens Avery has just enough hair to spike up.
Believe me, I can't wait for the day I get to give her pig tails but
I will take what I can get for now.

Pirates invaded John's Pass this weekend and
of course we had to get in the action.
We put our best pirate gear on and headed out for one heck of a fun day!

I was in shock just as I was at The Renaissance Festival at all the
super freaks these events attract!

I thought I took it a little to far with a skull and cross bones bandanna
(the hair was a little greasy that day)

There were adults there who looked like the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean.
And they were not part of the festival staff. People crack me up!

Oh well..who am I to judge when I sported that stupid looking bandanna all day
(I honestly thought I looked cute when I put it on at home,strutted my stuff all day at the festival and then saw how freaking stupid I really looked when I downloaded the pics.)
